Description: Maximum intensity projection image of C57BL/6 mice hindlimb tissue. Immunofluorescence staining of neuromuscular junctions (alpha-bungarotoxin Alexa Fluor) and myelin (Nile Red) was performed to visualize the crossroads of the nervous and muscular system. These flower-like disk structures play a crucial role in the regulation of everyday muscle movements. Image was acquired by 2-photon microscopy.
